The story line does take place in Kehjistan at some point which is where the Priests of Rathma are located. Even Trag'Oul thought that power to be impossible. He is the only one, if I have my lore correct, who is powerful enough to pull entities from the Void which is where Lilith is imprisoned. The bald pale man could have been Rathma, as some say, but I think it may have been Mendeln who was the founder of the Priest of Rathma. Priests of Rathma are individuals, if you don't know, who see themselves as balancers of light and dark, or protectors of Sanctuary. And I think that the bald white individual in the beginning is a priest of Rathma. Why do the events of D4 take place 30 years after the events of D3? Someone or something could have possibly been waiting for the last set of heroes to turn or die which isn't unlikely or unheard of since some enemies of D2 were the heroes of D1.Ī threat may have surfaced when the world was completely unguarded, a new cult of something.
